Coronavirus is wreaking havoc in the world. On the other hand, the death of Daniel Pearl and the decision of the Pakistan Court to reduce the death sentence of terrorist Omar Sheikh has surprised everyone. America has also expressed its displeasure over this. More than 18 years have passed since the brutal murder of Daniel Pearl. During this, terrorists Omar Sheikh and other terrorists like him either roamed freely in Pakistan or lived as prisoners in nominal jails. There were two big reasons for imprisoning him. The first reason was to show the world that the Government of Pakistan is taking action against them, and the second reason was that they could be saved by keeping them in captivity.

Even after this act, the Pakistani court sentenced him to just seven years. But he has been in jail for 18 years, so he will be released in a few days. Pakistan's leading newspaper, The Dawn, in its editorial, expressed displeasure over the decision and named it among the world's most dangerous terrorists. The editorial says that the government should appeal against the decision of the court.

In March 2007, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, a member of Al Qaeda, revealed that Omar Sheikh had beheaded Daniel. He made this claim during the court in Guantanamo Jail. Daniel Pearl was the South Asia Bureau Chief of Wall Street General. His office was in Mumbai. After this, Pearl settled in Mumbai.
