Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Redmi Pad Pro in India, following its recent certification by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The tablet, identified by the model number 2405CRPFDI, received certification on May 27, 2024, according to MySmartPrice. The model number's "I" indicates it is specifically for the Indian market.

Although Xiaomi hasn't officially confirmed the launch, the BIS certification suggests it is likely to happen soon. Many speculate that the announcement might coincide with the Xiaomi 14 Civi launch event set for June 12 in India.

So far, Xiaomi has released two Redmi tablets in India: the Redmi Pad and the Redmi Pad SE. The upcoming Redmi Pad Pro is eagerly awaited, especially considering its expected features.

While the certification didn't reveal detailed specifications, we can infer details from the Chinese version of the Redmi Pad Pro. The Indian version is likely to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1.5TB.

A recent leak suggests the Indian Redmi Pad Pro will support both cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity, unlike the Chinese version. The tablet is expected to feature a 12.1-inch display with 2.5K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. The display is likely to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and have a touch sampling rate of 180Hz.

Running on the Android 14-based HyperOS platform, the Redmi Pad Pro promises a smooth user experience. It is rumored to have an 8-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The device might also come with a powerful 10,000mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging.
