Lucknow: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started sharpening its election campaign for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. In the same vein, state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, BJP State Unit President Swatanter Dev Singh flagged off the election campaign "Rath" (van) from the BJP office in Lucknow today.

Senior BJP leader and Home Minister Amit Shah, party chief JP Nadda and CM Yogi Adityanath will campaign in various districts of western Uttar Pradesh today as part of a public relations campaign. The three leaders will also campaign door to door for the BJP. In fact, the Election Commission in the state has banned major election rallies and the ban is in force till tonight. It is believed that the Election Commission may give some concessions for campaigning for the elections.

On the other hand, the BJP has been campaigning under election commission rules and is running door-to-door campaigning. The BJP today stepped up its campaigning through an election chariot. Through these chariots, the BJP will take its five-year development plans and works to the people. Through these chariots, the party wants to inform the villages of the state about its plans.
