Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister today expressed his concern over the terrorist attack on Amarnath pilgrims as a 'cowardly' one.

"Attack on Amarnath pilgrims was a cowardly attack and is condemnable," tweeted Adityanath.

"I pray that the souls of the deceased rest in peace and the family, the family member are able to muster the courage to deal with the situation and the injured heal soon," he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted "Pained beyond words on the dastardly attack on peaceful Amarnath Yatris in J&K. The attack deserves the strongest condemnation from everyone,"
