Lucknow: Even after the strictness of the NGT and the governance of the country, along with the Supreme Court of the country, there is no decrease in incidents of burning the straw. Since then, the local administration has taken a strict stand and started taking action against the farmers in the blame of burning stubble. A case was registered against 178 farmers on Monday. While notice has been issued to 189, after which action is being prepared now.

Four accountants with technical assistants in Hardoi, two in Mathura and one accountant in Bulandshahar have been suspended. In Pilibhit, the line has been introduced to the inspector. Along with this, dozens of farmers, building builders and factory operators have been fined. In Mathura, two Lekhpals who failed to stop burning the straw, have also been arrested for suspension. While action has been taken against the land conservation officer, action has also been recommended against the land conservation officer.

Irshad Khan, a farmer from Savaiya village in Rae Bareli, has been arrested for the charge of burning the straw. However, the court currently granted him bail.
