New Delhi: Big decision over the plan to extend metro service to Jewar Airport in Noida is to be made by Yogi Government. The state government plans to have faster connectivity to the Noida airport. The express metro scheme from Knowledge Park to Jewar International Airport is being considered in Noida as well as in Noida following the direction of up government. Now the administration is looking to prepare a detailed plan for this metro.

The state government believes that the metro leading up to Noida Airport will require faster connectivity. This is not possible if you look at the existing Detail Project Report (DPR) for metro connectivity to the airport. If the Metro from Greater Noida to Jewar Airport stops at 25 stations, it will take about 1.25 to 1.5 hours. Airport commuters will avoid taking advantage of this metro service.

That is why the Uttar Pradesh government is churning out express metros on the lines of Delhi. The express metro reduced the number of stations and took less time to travel. At the same time, the government and the Yamuna authorities are preparing to study the Delhi Airport Express metro line and make changes in the DPR.
