Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has made a big announcement for those who died of corona infection while on corona duty. The Yogi government has decided to provide an ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh in case of death of health workers due to corona infection while on covid duty in the state, orders have also been issued in this regard.

The Rural Development Commissioner has issued an order of the Department of Rural Development regarding ex-gratia. 50 lakh slated to be given to the families of the deceased rural development department employees and officers who died due to corona infection during prevention, treatment, and related duty. Ex-gratia will be provided on the issue of a death certificate from covid infection.

Ex-gratia will be given to the dependents of employees who die infected while on the duty of government, semi-government, contract, daily salaried, outsourced, autonomous institutions of the Department of Rural Development. The ex-gratia amount will be received after sanction by the DM. Commissioner Gramya Vikas has issued orders to all chief development officers in the order of the revenue department.
