Recently, Asaduddin Owaisi has once again targeted the Uttar Pradesh government. He recently questioned the encounter policy of the UP Police. Owaisi said that "Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has changed the rules and due process with encounters".

He further accused the Yogi government. He alleged that "This is not a mere formality. This is the very basis to protect us from a tyrannical government. The police do not have the power to punish anyone. Except for UP, where does an encounter take place without any proof? Asaduddin Owaisi said that in many instances the families of the encounter victims are also afraid to challenge the incident due to fear of the police. In some instances, the UP police allegedly took action against the families of the victims, including the demolition of the homes.

Apart from this, he also said, "The UP Police has shown how it has become a communal and casteist institution. The UP police have become a puppet in the hands of the Yogi government to carry forward its ideological agenda of Hindutva." All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has also made several allegations against the Uttar Pradesh government.
