Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has focused on the poor and laborers in its second term. According to the election promise, the government will provide loans up to one lakh to the laborers. No security will be required for this. Under this facility, the government will give Shramik Credit Card to the registered workers. To fulfill this promise made in the BJP's Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra, the Labor Department has started the process. Just before the assembly elections, the Yogi government had announced a monthly allowance of Rs 500 for the registered laborers. However, this arrangement was made only for four months. But the result was that there was a competition to register on the e-shram portal.

The target of 6 crore 30 lakh registration given by the center in front of the department was like a mountain, but in terms of allowance, the registration reached 8 crore 26 lakh. Let us inform that BJP has made many promises to the laborers in its resolution letter. In this, apart from the construction of Atal residential schools for their children, free education up to graduation, increase of grant amount to one lakh for the marriage of daughters, free insurance to all construction workers, free skill development training by expanding Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana. provided is included. Along with this, collateral free loans up to one lakh are to be provided to help them stand on their feet. The biggest problem when taking a loan from a bank is security. It is not possible for the laborers to fulfill this condition of the bank.

In such a situation, they will have to apply for the loan stating only the reason for taking the loan. At present 1.43 crore registered laborers will get the benefit of this scheme. However, the verification of the registration done on the e-shram portal is yet to be done. Then this figure will increase further. If departmental sources are to be believed, a lot of money is involved in this scheme, so a lot of care is being taken in setting the framework. In this, two options are being considered, the first is that the funding should be done by the government. The second option is to operate this scheme with the help of banks on the lines of PM Svanidhi Yojana.
