Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh is going to set up 20 cow protection centres in 16 districts to protect the destitute cow dynasty of the state. An official statement issued on Saturday said that the Yogi government of the state has allocated Rs 12 crore for the same.

With this amount, one cow protection centre will be set up at Etawah, Kanpur Dehat, Basti, Siddharth Nagar, Aligarh, Bareilly, Ayodhya, Sitapur, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Jhansi and Banda. Two cow protection centres will be set up at Ambedkar Nagar, Hardoi, Bahraich and Fatehpur. An amount of Rs 60 lakh has been sanctioned for setting up of each conservation centre.

According to a statement issued by the Yogi government of the state, necessary guidelines have been issued by the Department of Livestock in this regard by issuing a mandate to the Director Administration and Development Animal Husbandry Department to set up cow conservation centres.  The order issued by the state government states that the availability of land for construction should be undeniably ensured.
