Meerut: In the recent past, the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh, the country's largest state, will marry 190 poor minority daughters of Meerut. The Budget for the same has been released. In fact, in the financial year 2020-21, the Budget for 500 poor girls could not be released.

At the same time, according to Minority Welfare Officer Tariq Ahmed, the department provides financial assistance of 20,000 rupees on the nikah of Muslim girls. This benefit is given in the account of the guardian of the applicants under the Marriage Grant Scheme. The department looks into the account of the applicant.

20,000 rupees are given to the beneficiary: Tariq Ahmed said that the application is forwarded on the login of the minority welfare officer. Applications are also invited from the BDO of the block. An amount of Rs.20,000 is transferred to the girl's father's account. This time, money has been received from the government for the marriage of 190 girls. In the financial year 2020-21, 500 applications were received but the Budget could not be released.
