Every year Yogini Ekadashi is on 17 June this year. Fasting on this day eradicates leprosy. This is a fast that can easily get rid of this leprosy disease. For the welfare of the common man, Lord Vishnu, by mixing together the Ekadashi of Purushottam month with his body, revealed a total of 26 Ekadashis on earth. The names of these Ekadashis falling in Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha were also named after them. In fact, among them are Utpna, Moksha, Safala, Putrada, Shattila, Jaya, Vijaya, Amalaki, Papamochani, Kamada, Varuthini, Mohini, Nirjala, Devshayani and Devaprabodhini etc.

Very few people know that Narayana has the ability to give equivalent fruit in all the 11 Ekadashi. It is said that those who worship them do not need to worship anyone else because they fulfil all the wishes of their devotees. 'Yogini' Ekadashi is considered very special in these Ekadashi, because this Ekadashi helps in making life successful by liberating people from all kinds of wastage and skin diseases.

If Padmapuran is considered, 'Yogini' Ekadashi is considered as an eternal boat for all the creatures submerged in the world ocean destroying all the patriots. One should observe fast on this special day and take bath, chanting, Om Namo: Bhagwate Vasudevay' mantra, sitting in front of the idol of Lord Vishnu, sandalwood, Janeu, Gandha, intact, floral, incense, lamp, Naivedya Aarti should be done from camphor after offering Ritufal, Tambool, Coconut etc.
