Application Fee

The application fee for this recruitment is fixed as follows:

  • For General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates: Rs. 200/-
  • For Female, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates: No fee (Nil)

Application fee can be paid by depositing challan through any branch of State Bank of India (SBI), or you can also pay using Visa, Master, Rupay Credit/Debit Card, UPI or Internet Banking of any bank.

Age Limit

To join this recruitment, the minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years and maximum age should be 32 years. This means that the candidate should not be born before 2 January 1993 and after 1 January 2004. Apart from this, age relaxation will also be applicable, which will be according to government rules.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for this exam must have a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject. This degree should be in relevant fields such as geology, geophysics, chemistry, or hydrogeology. Also, candidates must ensure that their educational qualification is in line with the criteria set by the UPSC.

Selection Process

The selection process for this recruitment by UPSC will be conducted in two stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Prelims): This exam will be held on 9 February 2025, on the basis of which candidates will be shortlisted for the main exam.
  2. Mains: The main exam will be held on 21st and 22nd June 2025. After this, the successful candidates will be called for interview.
