Hyderabad: A youngster attacked his house owner allegedly over a dispute on the payment of the house rent at Hasan Nagar in Rajendranagar in the wee hours of Friday. The youngster and the tenant identified as Tajamul stabbed Abdul Rasheed, the house owner with a knife for allegedly asking him rent.

Police said following a heated argument, Tajamul stabbed Rasheed multiple times in the abdomen causing grievous bleeding injuries. Rasheed was shifted to the hospital and being treated. His condition is said to be stable. The Rajendranagar police booked a case and are investigating.

In another tragic incident, A 32-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Uppal here late night on Thursday. She left a suicide note stating she was depressed over her ill health and ended her life, police said. The victim was identified as Swapna, a homemaker from Annapurna Colony in Uppal who got married 13 years ago. The suicide note found in the saree said that nobody was responsible for her death, officials said. Based on a complaint, the Uppal police booked a case and are investigating.
