Srinagar: Former Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir CM and People's Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Central government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Mehbooba said the biggest problem of youth is unemployment. But the government has no solution. Farmers have been suffering for the last 1 year, but they (the government) have no answer. Only one factory works to pit their Hindus and Muslims against each other.

Mehbooba further said, 'BJP started from Tripura, then UP and now Maharashtra, because as UP elections pass, they have nothing to show for it.' At the same time, Mehbooba Mufti criticised the administration's "apathy" towards the huge loss suffered by farmers in Jammu and Kashmir due to recent adverse weather conditions.

Mehbooba Mufti said that farmers who produce paddy in the border districts of Jammu and produce apples and other fruits in Kashmir contribute significantly to the economy of Jammu and Kashmir. Heavy rains and snowfall in both areas have cost them crores of rupees. But the government has no answer.
