This advertisement has been opposed in some places after it came to light. People on social media are calling it training to make 'Prostitute.' British Higher Education Minister Michelle Donnellan is also opposed to the student union's training. He said, "This training is an attempt to recognize sex work as a normal task, I am very concerned that the University is legalizing a dangerous business where women are exploited.'' He further said, "It is true that the victims of exploitation are given vital support. But this course is an attempt to make sex contracting a normal task, which has no place in our universities.''
After facing huge opposition to the training programme, the university said that the programme launched is not aimed at encouraging students to perform sex. But some people are defaming it. A university spokesperson said, "We are not encouraging sex work, but we are helping our students. We don't judge any student. We listen to them, help them and provide them with practical help. We run a variety of courses for students and employees, ranging from mental health to well being, drugs and alcohol awareness.'' On the other hand, the university says that sex work is tarnished. In such a situation, through this training, they are helping students who are in greater danger. The university is giving them the help they need and deserve.
