Srinagar, Police recovered a body of youth from Jhelum River this morning, with locals alleging that he drowned in the water body when security forces chased a group of stone pelters in Anantnag district of the Valley.
According to a police official, “body of Shahnawaz Khatana was recovered by police from the river this morning at Sangam in Anantnag district”.
He said locals alleged that Khatana had drowned in the river yesterday when security forces chased a group of stone-pelters in the area.
