YouTube introduced a new video recommendation system, and also made it possible to block videos from certain channels. Information about the new features of the video service is provided in its official blog.

Now on the main page of YouTube, you can see a list with topics, the selection of which depends on previously viewed videos. Under each such topic will be displayed similar videos. The same function will appear in the "Next" section.

“This could be a video on a topic that interests you earlier, a video from channels that you are watching, or other topics that might interest you,” says YouTube.

The video service will also allow you to block video recommendations from certain channels. They will stop appearing on the main page or in the “Next” section. In this case, the blocked videos can be seen by subscribing to their channel or finding through the search. YouTube will also explain to users why they are invited to watch videos from channels that they have not watched before. Information about this will appear in a special window under the video itself.
