YouTube said that since August, the service will display a rounded number of channel subscribers for all users. According to the sources, from August this year in all cases will be shown a rounded number, and not the exact one. For example, if the channel has 4227 subscribers, users will see 4.2K until it reaches 4300. However, the exact number will still be shown for channels whose subscribers have not reached a thousand.

It is noted that this number is now displayed differently for users of mobile devices and desktops. Innovation will eliminate this difference. YouTube notes that in some cases it is already rounding up the number of subscribers; further, the service will extend this practice to all channels. After the introduction of innovations, only the channel owners will see the exact number of subscribers.

Earlier, YouTube decided to tag media that received government funding. It is noted that the purpose of innovation is to provide users with additional information that will help them better understand the source of the news that they are going to watch.
