Indian tennis player Yuki Bhambri's journey to the Australian Open qualifiers has come to a halt. Yuki, 29, lost to Thomas Machak of the Czech Republic in the second round. Bhambri has been defeated 1-6, 3-6 in straight sets by Machak. At the same time, India's challenge came to an end and no Indian player could find a place in the single main draw.

Bhambri appeared completely helpless in front of the 20th seed Edck and has not posed a slight challenge. Machak reached the highest 131st rank in the career on November 8, 2021. In an impressive comeback on the tennis court, Bhambri has also won the Australian Open qualifiers. Bhambri, who is returning to grand slam level after the US Open 2018 due to a knee injury, defeated Portugal's 248th world ranking Joo Dominics 6-4, 6-2 in a 1-hour 8-minute bout.

Ramkumar Ramanathan lost in the first round of the men's singles event while Ankita Raina was defeated 6-1, 6-0 by Ukraine's Lessia Suranco in just 50 minutes in the women's singles.
