All India Congress Committee appoints Former Vice President of Assam Pradesh NSUI and one of the leading faces of CAA movement of Assam, Zubair Anam Mazumder as the General Secretary of Assam Pradesh Youth Congress.

This comes in the middle of INC's national outreach program, "Bharat Jodo Yatra".

With the fierce Youth Leader on board, Congress plans to bank on it's Youth base in the State which has been on the decline since 2016 Assembly Election.

Knows as one of the most prominent Youth Leaders of the state, Zubair has moved up his ranks from a Member of NSUI, to General Secretary, to Vice president of NSUI and now State General Secretary of Assam Pradesh Youth Congress.

Talking on his appointment Zubair says, "I thank my leadership for giving me this opportunity. We'll be fearlessly critical of anti public policies and take the message of our Leader Shri Rahul Gandhi to the masses".

Taking on the issue of leaders leaving the party, Zubair says, "Media only portrays people leaving, never shows that they are replaced within minutes. Congress in Assam lost only by a percent. With our new team of youth congress, we'll work hard and win by a huge percentage next time."

Can Zubair contribute to the revival of Congress's popularity among the youth of Assam ? Only time will tell.
