Srinagar: After the abolition of Article 370 of the Constitution from Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Indian security forces have intensified operations against terrorist organizations. In the last six months, the army personnel have piled up two commanders of the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen in two major encounters. Hizbul Mujahideen has now appointed Zubair Wani, MPhil dropout student of Dehradun College as its commander in Kashmir.

According to the information received, 31-year-old Wani was admitted to Hizbul in 2018. His family is a resident of Deharuna village under Anantnag district of Kashmir. He was the only educated person in his family, who left Uttarakhand and joined a terrorist organization. The security forces pile up Hizbul commander Saifullah Mir on Sunday.

Earlier in May, terrorist organization leader Riyaz Naiku was also killed in the encounter. After these two major operations of Indian soldiers, Hizbul has appointed Wani as the new commander of the organization instead of his oldest terrorist Ashraf Maulvi alias Ashraf Khan. Sources say that the Maulvi is currently suffering from kidney problems and has indicated to give up panic many times before.
