The polling for the seventh and final phase of the Assembly elections began today in the morning for the 40 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Till 4:00 pm as per the sources news around 56 percent voting was recorded.

1.41 crore voters are eligible to vote in this seventh and last phase of UP Assembly elections which includes 76.87 lakh men and 64.99 women while 706 voters are of the third gender, as per the sources news.8,632 polling stations with 14,458 polling booths have been set up.

On 11 March the counting of votes of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa state is scheduled to take place.
