NEW DELHI: The National Capital is all set to proclaim the enactment of the seventh pay commission recommendations soon after a panel headed by Cabinet secretary P K Sinha to inspect the applications acquiesced its report.
Finance secretary Ashok Lavasa said "Committee of secretaries has finalised its report on pay commission recommendations... We will soon draft a Cabinet note based on the report,"
"We will soon announce it. The increase would be a little below 20%," a source said but did not elaborate. The Centre has said adequate provisions have been made in the 2016-17 Budget to absorb the impact recommendations.
