Ingredients for Chilli Appam Recipe:
Idli batter - 2 cups Capsicum - 2 Green Coriander (finely chopped) Oil - 2 tablespoons Ginger - 1 inch piece (cut long thin pieces) Tomato sauce - 2 tablespoons Soya Sauce - 1/2 Tablespoon Chili sauce - 1/2 teaspoon Vinegar - 1 tbsp Salt - 1 teaspoon or as per taste Red Chilli Powder - Less than 1/4 teaspoon
Method - How to make Chilli Appam Recipe:
Step 1. Mix 1/4 teaspoon of salt in Idli's solution and mix it.
Step 2. Heat the Appam Maker and add little oil to each of its foodpalate. Fill every palate with idli solution. After covering all the food, cover it for 2 minutes and let the medium cook on a low flame, until it is light brown, then turn it.
Step 3. Take out the cooked appam and put them in the plate and prepare the second appam in the same way.
Step 4. Wash capsicum and remove the seeds and cut them into small pieces.
Step 5. Heat oil in a pan, add finely chopped ginger and capsicum in hot oil, cover it on a low flame and cook it for 1 minute.
Step 6. Now add tomato sauce, salt,chilli sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, red chilli powder and mix all the ingredients well.
Step 7. Now add appam in it and mix it well and mix it with some fresh crushed black pepper. Chili appam are ready.
