It is one of those rare occasions where no Mumbai born player or Mumbai's home layer is not around the field as the match is going on. This does seem odd as far the proceedings are concerned, but as far the facts suggest at the moment the only Mumbaikar has to be the Indian test Vice Captain Ajinkya Rahane who got injured before the 4th test match's schedule thus he had already informed the supporters and team management that he won't be able to play the match.
However Rahane's impact has been missed in the slips where he is one of the best as far the catching are concerned, but the Indian skipper tried to demonstrate that the absence of such great fielder must be completed by self-satisfaction thus he demonstrated the different ways of slip field in these 2 days around while standing in slips and taking few nice catches which also include the critical review catch of Ben Stokes on the beginning of 2nd day.
However, it seems to be only Josh Butler as a foreigner who is anyhow associated in terms of the proceedings as he plays IPL for the home side Mumbai Indians, thus he took advantage of expertise after scoring spectacular against-his-character half century to take a breather and help England out from tough situations, yet there is no doubt that the absence of Mumbai cricketers have been missed upon as this is one of those rae chances when the match is going around in Mumbai and there is no Mumbai around to enjoy the home ground applause or suggest the skipper his own expertise in relativity to a high scale performance for the Home team indeed.
All in all, we would have to look forward how this whole test match goes. WE do have some great Mumbaikar English commentators in the house where they do suggest their ways how Indian team would apply and it seems we would have to employ with their presence only as no home player is on the field to demonstrate the great joy of Vankhade in its own supreme value...
