It is difficult to lose weight, which is why experts have discovered different ways to make this process easier. One way to lose weight is intermittent fasting, where people reduce their calories to a great extent for a short time. But new research published in Jama International Medicine reveals that fasting can not be the key to losing weight.
The researchers wanted to know if those who try to fast would be more successful on a standard diet or not. He asked 100 people suffering from obesity to follow one of three diets for one year. In the first group, some people were asked to cut their calorie intake by 25% per day whereas the people of the other group were asked to leave one day and fast for one day where they had eaten about 500 calories during fasting days. And on the day when there was no fast, ate the food of their choice.
The third group called the control group was asked to continue their daily diet. Researchers expected that people with fasting groups would lose more weight, but the results showed something else.
The people who were walking on fasting diets and the first group to control the calories, the group reduced weight in almost a lot of quantity but those who were on fasting diets were having difficulty in continuing this diet and many People stopped taking a fast diet in the middle of the research.
