Priyanka Chopra is quite busy these days in her different commitments. Though she is not shooting for any Bollywood movie but the news of signing film has been making the rounds for quite sometimes now.
So, her spokesperson has to come forward and clear the rumours, "While there has been ample speculation surrounding the Hindi films Priyanka Chopra has signed, this is to clarify that she is taking her time to deliberate and nothing is finalized at the moment. We will make an official announcement of her films when the time is right. All these reports floating are not true and mere speculation."
Priyanka on finding satisfaction stayed, "Yes. I've read so much and I just...you've hit the nail on the head. It's just very difficult, I don't know. I need something which holds me by the shoulders and shakes me when I read it and yes, I have read films like that in India which I want to do. I'm sort of very close to two films that I definitely want to do which is going to be next year after Quantico, so not in a rush because it will be after March, next year, But there are some amazing films that are being made in India right now and some filmmakers that are coming up with great ideas. But yes, they are few and far in between, whether it's here or there, both places. I think that entertainment is going through a change at the moment with digital coming in such a big way in our lives where you are streaming movies and content from all over the world on your phone. So you don't have to get up and go to a movie theatre anymore to experience entertainment and I think that's changed our world, so now filmmakers really have a voice. They can say anything and they can tell the stories that they want. So it's a great world but also a place where there is a lot of rubbish. To be able to sift that is where I am right now, for me as talent."
Talking about her next Bollywood movie, she stated, "Yes, I am, as soon as I put pen to paper. I'm not someone who's into like 'yeh main kar rahi hoon. Yeh announcement karo'. I believe in starting the film and when there is...it's come to a place where you can talk about it, then people should see what I'm talking about because otherwise, there are so many speculations. I believe I've signed some 20 films, so far. I mean, I'm in conversation with every film that's being made at the moment. And, I am in conversation with a few people. But, that doesn't make a film and that definitely does not make news. Trolling and speculative movie announcements are two things that really need to get out of entertainment news. Then there will be so much more to talk about. When did trolling become news? How can someone's opinion on Twitter become front page headlines? That's another one...that's a pet peeve of mine."
