The Proteas crash the dream of visitor nation as the force them to play follow on. Kagiso Rabada picked up 5/33 as South Africa restricted Bangladesh out for just 147, the Bangladesh Batsmen give up against the South African pace bowler Rabada who manage to take 5 wickets in the innings which gives them a huge lead of 426 runs. Armed with a big lead, the Proteas have enforced the follow-on and Bangladesh didn’t manage to survive first innings as they collapse for just 147 runs but there opening batsmen during follow-on have survived the day as Bangladesh in their second innings 7/0 at stumps on day 2.

Earlier, it was the opening batsmen of Proteas, strike centuries from Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram,  and then the skipper of the host nation Faf du Plessis and the former skipper Hashim Amla helped the hosts reach the mammoth total on the board of 573/4 declared on day 2. However, Rabada was the star as he picked up his sixth career five-wicket haul in his Test career to trouble the Visitor Bangladesh batsman. For the host, only Liton Das who show some kind of fight against the Proteas as he was the top scorer for his team with 70 but they could not stand up to South Africa’s variety. Faf du Plessis’ side will be determined to wrap up proceedings on Sunday and seal the series 2-0.
