NCP boss Sharad Pawar declared his abdication as Mumbai Cricket Association president on Saturday, apparently because of the clearing changes proclaimed by the Supreme Court designated Lodha Committee.

The BCCI and a greater part of the state affiliations had rejected embracing these particular proposals from the Lodha Committee notwithstanding the Supreme Court having endorsed them in it's July 18 arrange.

"There was an appeal to documented by the BCCI under the watchful eye of the Supreme Court, so I thought since that was pending, I ought to sit tight for an ultimate conclusion on this," said Pawar. The previous BCCI and ICC president said he had ventured down as he needed to hold fast to one of the key changes to the board of trustees, which stipulated an age top of 70 years on cricket administrators in the nation.
