The trend of remixing the old songs has taken the charge in film industry. Sonakshi Sinha at the event of launching Gulabi 2.0 when asked about the trend of remixes, "The older generation would definitely have a very very special connection to the old songs but people from our generation, younger than us, kids of this generation have not heard the songs. All we are doing is repackaging them and giving it to them in a way they understand and they like. I think it's a great idea. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the remixes of classic songs that we have had in the last 1-2 years," she said. 

"It was a great experience. It was great to be on the other side of the mike, behind the camera. But of course, the kind of journalist I play in the film is not the kind of journalist I want to be in life. It was a great experience. Glad I got to play this character," she said on playing the character of Journalist in the film. 

Sonakshi also said, "If I were a journalist, I would ask questions regarding an artist's work, the amount of hard work that goes behind a film is often not known. As an artist, I would like them to see what kind of hard work is put into it."
