The incident happened on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's set and to the director himself is totally not appreciable.

When the whole B-town stands together on the issue and condemns this act, an actor has gone a step further. The actor Sushant Singh Rajput dropped 'Rajput' off his name because the attack was initiated by an organisation lead by Rajputs called Karni Sena.

He took Twitter and felt ashamed of this act and decided to drop off his surname.

He wrote: “We would suffer until the time we’re obsessed with our surnames. If you’re that courageous, give us your first name to acknowledge."

However, his act was not appreciated and welcomed by some twitteratis and they started lashing at him.
