Tusshar Kapoor celebrated the first birthday of his son Laksshya yesterday. The bash was attended by who's who of the town.

At the occasion Tusshar said, "Yeah I am very ecstatic. Time really flew by. I have lived the journey that he has gone through and have enjoyed all the milestones. I have seen every change and movement of his and it has been a thoroughly enjoyable journey."

Tusshar being a single parent said, "I don't know what it is to be sharing the responsibility because I am doing everything myself. To me, it all feels normal and it is a part of the process. Not at all a burden because I enjoyed every bit of it. I guess I am cut for it. I did it at the right time since I always wanted to have a child. I was mentally prepared for it. I have not married so I don't know what it is like.. But I don't miss it or else I would have left a lot of responsibilities on my wife and then I wouldn't be able to enjoy what I am doing now. I am happy with the way I have made my own family. It has been a great journey."

The dotting daddy added, "I became a father at 39 and thus I had the maturity to handle it. When you are married, the husband has a responsibility to his wife. They have to balance things like family, in-laws etc. I don't have all of that. It is lighter for me but since I am a single parent, the other responsibilities are more. I think eventually it comes down to the same thing. I am not a party animal so for me to get up early for my child is not a big burden."

When Tusshar was asked what changes has fatherhood brought in him, he said, "My life has changed for the better. It has become more sorted. When I am not working, there is so much to do now than doing nothing. I have become more organized and I feel more confident because I have some purpose now. Just generally more mature and ready to make sacrifices and that comes naturally because your child becomes your priority. That selflessness comes inside you because your child comes before you. And I have become calmer because there is only one focus now."
