New Delhi: In a horrific incident, the wife of a national Kabbadi champion commited suicide by hanging herself in her home in Delhi. Also, 27-year-old left a two-hour long video in which she claimed mental and physical harassment.

The victim Lalita, wife of Rohit Chillar, was found deceased by her father on Monday evening in Nangloi in west Delhi. Rohit Chillar, represents the team ‘Bengaluru Bulls’ in the Pro-Kabaddi League got hitched with Lalita in March.

According to police, “27-year-old left a suicide note and also recorded a long video in which she alleged dowry demands by her husband's family.”

Senior police officer Vijay Kumar said, that, “in the note, she said she was forced to stay alone while her husband remained out of Delhi frequently”.

"Lalita said in the note that she was asked by her husband to leave him for his happiness, and thus she took this step," officer added.
