The Kerala Legislative Assembly budget session will begin today with the address of Governor Justice (Ret) P Sathasivam.
The session will end on March 16. Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan yesterday at a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram said that the state budget for the year 2017-18 would be presented by Finance Minister T M Thomas Issac in the house on March 3.
In the session, various issues like drought situation and disruption in the supply of food items through ration shops can be discussed.
