In Kerala's Kannur today, the funeral of E. Ahamed who was former Union Minister and Senior Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) will be held who suffered a heart attack on Tuesday when President Pranab Mukherjee was addressing the Joint session ahead of the presentation of Union Budget 2017.

The body of the departed soul last evening was brought to Karippur in Malappuram. The public paid homage to the leader at the Hajj House in Kondotty. Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan also paid homage to E. Ahamed.

At Kozhikode Beach, a prayer session was held after the public paid him homage after which his body was taken to Kannur where the funeral will take place today.
