On a Saturday night, most of the cities were in the dark, even though sparking Rashtrapati Bhavan was also in a dark. This was not due to electricity problem, but for the celebration of 'Earth Hour'.
Nearly 7,000 cities were turned off from 8.30PM to 9.30PM, the whole world celebrated Earth Hour, by turning off their lights and sitting outside for one hour. This is also called 'Black Out'.
This is done to show the concern about the increasing pollution of the Earth. This celebration is being continued since decades. This celebration was the 10th anniversary of the Black Hour.
