TN Chief Secretary's son caught with Rs.30 lakh new currency

Chennai: Income Tax Department raid at Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary, P Rama Mohana Rao's residence on Wednesday recovered bulk of money from his son,Vivek's apartment. Investigating team caught Vivek with Rs.30 lakhs of new currency denomination, 5kg of gold and undisclosed belongings worth Rs.5 crore.

IT officials begun the raid on early morning of Wednesday at 5.30AM, after investigations at P Rao's residence investigators reached Rao's office at around 2.30PM and continued the probe till 7.30PM. Large part of the cash seized out of Vivek and his IN Laws' house, multiple sim cards and documents were recovered from Rao's office.

P Rama Mohana Rao's close acquaintance, Shekhar Redddy was arrested by CBI on Wednesday. IT Source unveiled that Reddy and Rao both will sanctioned under PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act).
