Assembly Election 2017: The counting for the assembly election in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Manipur, and Uttrakhand begins from 8 this morning. As per the exit poll, Punjab is the predicted to have given AAP a clear majority in the state while Uttar Pradesh to be heading towards a hung assembly with BJP in lead.

As the Uttar Pradesh is the most keenly watched state because the two biggest party formed a strong alliance- Congress and Samajwadi Party(SP) which is competing with the Bharatiya Janata Party buoyed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party. The counting of votes has started in states. On 50 seats the Bharatiya Janata party has 22 seats, Congress- Samajwadi party has 14 seats, Bahujan samaj party has 12 seats while other has 2 seats.
