In 2016 there was the great hike in data usage. Recently, a study conducted by the Nokia reveals the increase in the volume of the data traffic in India. As per the reports, there is 60% hike in the data volumes.
As per the Nokia reports, "4G was the major source of data traffic across the country in 2016, with 60 per cent of the incremental data payload from 2015 levels contributed by 4G."
Sanjay Malik, Head of India Market, Nokia said, "India is on the cusp of a formidable growth in mobile broadband technologies. Network expansion of 4G and 3G and a corresponding drop in prices of devices is fueling the growth of mobile broadband in the country."
The study also revealed the data usage at Metro cities, as it has the majority 4G users, metro cities alone contributed the 26% of the data traffic on the 4G network, while 63% of the data volume was reported by the 3G users.
