Tamil Nadu: Today, the Chief minister of the state O. Panneerselvam will hold a cabinet meeting in which topic of discussion will be farmer suicide, drought problems and state budget.

There is lot of water crisis going on in the state. For helping the farmers and also for the assessment of crop damage, teams of ministers and officials have been established. The team will submit their report on 10 January after inspecting the state.

The decision is taken after the opposition party demanded to declare the state as drought hit area and also after the increase in the number of farmer suicide due to crop failure.
