Amidst the accusations made by the CIA on Russian President Vladimir Putin for involvement in the cyber attacks for influencing the US citizens to favour Donald Trump, Obama has said that an action will be taken against whosoever has is involved in the cyberattacks.

Till now there has been no official comment on the situation, where CIA claimed that there has been cyberattacks from Russia in order to leverage US President elections, but now Obama has made it clear, and has ignited new dispute over the issue.

"I think there is no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact the integrity of our elections that we need to take action," Obama told NPR radio.

"And we will, at a time and place of our own choosing." adding.

Josh Earnest, White House spokesman also agreed to what Obama says and said, "I don't think anybody at the White House thinks it's funny that an adversary of the United States engaged in malicious cyber activity to destabilize our democracy. That's not a joke," Earnest said on Thursday.

"Mr Trump obviously knew that Russia was engaged in malicious cyber activity that was helping him and hurting Secretary Clinton's campaign," he added.
