Researchers recently performed an experiment on Rose, that shows that energy can be produced from the crop harvesting. However, all plants cannot produce electricity but some with the same property as that of Rose can produce.

As per the source, researchers made rose to absorb a conducting polymer solution, conducting Hydrogel helped the plant to transmit electrical energy through it.

Eleni Stavrinidou, Professor of laboratory said, "We have been able to charge the rose repeatedly, for hundreds of times without any loss of the performance of the device. The levels of energy storage we have achieved are of the same order of magnitude as those in supercapacitors."
