New Delhi: Soon, the new note of Rs. 50 and Rs. 20 will be issued by the Reserve Bank of India, as well as all the notes, which were previously issued by the RBI will be a legal tender.

RBI had said in a statement that, “50 rupees bank notes will be without inset letter in both the number panels and bear signature of RBI Governor Dr. Urjit Patel”.

The inset letter ‘L’ will be contained by Rs. 20 note on both of its number panels as well as inserted with the signature of RBI Governor. Also, the year 2016 will be printed on the another sides of both the notes.
