Sooraj Barjatya is one of the most popular and established filmmaker in film industry who has launched many Bollywood stars under his banner Rajshri. He launched his family drama Swabhimaan on Colors TV. In a interview with Tellychakkar, Sooraj speaks about his new venture, his favourite TV shows, upcoming projects and the Bollywood Khans. He said, "Swabhimaan will educate masses that girls can work after marriage. This show will help the society as it deals with a progressive thought. The daily will connect with all age groups, especially women. It will narrate the story of a mother, Sharda, who would give priority to the careers of her daughters rather than finding prospective grooms.”

He said about his favourite television show, “I honestly enjoy watching Colors’ Shakti, Shani and my sister Kavita’s show Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka on Sony TV." On show like Naagin, he said, “It’s there but our shows will never opt that route.”

To work with Salman again, “There is something in the pipeline with Salman, but there is still time for it. I want to do a film with Salman but I have my TV commitments, which are important.” When Suraj asked about working with other Khan, “Salman is enough for me.”
