When the English team scored around 400 runs in their first innings, they won't have expected India to chase the target down and even put them in a 50 run extra lead. However, it has happened at the end of the third day's play that India does stand on 451 for 7 wickets down which means that Indian team has taken the extended lead of 51 runs as the captain still remains unbeaten on the crease.

It happens to be that Virat Kohli is on the supreme period of form and he continues on day 3 at Wankhede stadium as India came to bat with great ideas in mind. One bonus that made the Indian captain go delighted was the century scored by murali Vijay who has not been performing in the series till the team's expectations. However, Virat did perform as up to his skill and became the second player after legendary Sunil Gavaskar to score 500 runs in a series against any opposition.

The story doesn't stop here now, the commentators and the team expect their captain now to come back on day 4 and play for his double hundred which seems tough but as the support has been providing by Jayant on the pitch it seems that it is not an impossible task to do so. However, India has scored 51 runs more than the virtual target thus the master class of their captain with some great support by Vijay, Jadeja and Jayant has proven a much tough task for English ballers to strike out as they lack catching skills on the ground in this whole series so they did drop many catches on day 3 though.

Let's see now how the game progresses on the 4th day, how far India can go on till then we can only hope that Virat can try his best and settle for third double hundred of the year, Who knows if it is possible for him?
