There is fierce firing between the two. According to the media reports, more than 10 people have lost their lives in the army-police struggle. These include five soldiers.

Pakistani media has also started an attempt to hide the serious conditions from the public somewhere. The Army took Superintendent of Police Aftab Anwar into custody during heavy firing between the Sindh Police and the Pakistan Army. This matter caught up when the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), a coalition of 11 opposition parties in Pakistan, called a rally on 16 October. After this, a public meeting was held in Gujranwala.

Maryam Nawaz openly called PM Imran Khan a 'coward and a puppet' at the rally. He said that Imran Khan hides behind the army to hide his infidelity.
