Kabul: 12 militants, including several Taliban commandos, were killed in an Afghan air force airstrike in Takhar province of Afghanistan late Wednesday night. The Taliban militants were involved in the recent attack on the police headquarters. Local officials have informed on Thursday that Taliban fighters had targeted Afghan security forces in the area on Wednesday in a village in Takhar province.

The Afghan Air Force made a late airstrike on Taliban militants, killing 13 terrorists, including several Taliban commanders. However, there are also reports of civilians being killed in the attack, which is under investigation. Earlier, on October 21, 25 Afghan soldiers were martyred in an ambush by the Taliban. Javed Hesari, the spokesman for the governor of Takhar province, said that the encounter between security forces and Taliban militants is continuing after the attack. The militants have suffered a lot in the encounter.

However, it is not yet known how many terrorists have been killed in this encounter. In Afghanistan, thousands of Afghan nationals waiting in a stadium on Wednesday were stampede in order to get visas to go to Pakistan in eastern Nangarhar province. 15 people, including 11 women, lost their lives in the stampede. Governor Ayatullah Khogyani said that 13 people were also injured in the stampede, mostly women. Most of those killed were old.
