Raipur: Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel's deputy secretary Saumya Chaurasia and suspended IAS Sameer Vishnoi, businessman Suryakant Tiwari, including 91 properties worth Rs 152 crore 31 lakh have been seized. The seizure action has been taken by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the matter of a swallowing commission on Rs 25 per tonne of coal. Earlier, the ED produced all five accused in the court. Where after the hearing, the court sent Sameer Bishnoi, businessman Suryakant, Laxmikant Tiwari and Sunil Agarwal behind bars till January 31. Whereas Saumya Chaurasia has been given ED custody for 4 days. ED's lawyer Saurabh Pandey has informed that ED has told later that senior officials, businessmen, politicians and middlemen together carried out the scam. The investigating agency had presented a charge sheet of 8000 pages in the court on Friday, while on Saturday also ED reached the court with documents in sacks and boxes. He told that next time all the accused will be presented through video conferencing. The accused will be brought to court only when it is very necessary. According to the information, a maximum of 65 properties in the confiscated properties are related to businessman Suryakant Tiwari. Suryakant is being told as the mastermind of this whole game. At the same time, Deputy Secretary Saumya Chaurasia is also called 'Super CM'. 30 properties belonging to her and 5 properties belonging to suspended IAS Sameer Vishnoi have been attached. The remaining properties belong to Sunil Agarwal and Laxmikant Tiwari. These include cash, jewelry, and plot.
