Shimla: Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has taken oath as the 15th CM of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath of office to Sukhu as Chief Minister at the Ridge Maidan in Shimla. Along with Sukhu, Congress leader and Pratibha Singh's special Mukesh Agnihotri has also taken oath as Deputy Chief Minister. Many senior leaders including Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were present at Sukhu's swearing-in ceremony. During this, Rahul Gandhi stopped his Bharat Jodo Yatra and joined the swearing-in ceremony. Let us tell you that earlier on December 9 also, leaving his visit, Rahul had come to celebrate the birthday of mother Sonia Gandhi.

Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, Bhupesh Baghel, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Rajiv Shukla, Pratibha Singh, and many other senior leaders were present at Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu's oath-taking ceremony. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu's mother Sansar Devi arrived at Sanjoli helipad in Shimla ahead of the swearing-in ceremony. Here Sukhu welcomed her. His mother said her son is a servitor and he will continue to serve the public.  

Earlier, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu had met Congress state president Pratibha Singh at her residence. After meeting Pratibha Singh, Sukhu said that Pratibha Singh is the president of the party in the state. They all work under her guidance. That's why he came to invite her to the oath-taking ceremony.

Let me tell you, a controversial statement of Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu before taking an oath is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this video, Sukhwinder Singh is saying, "In a state where 97 percent are Hindus, we have defeated the Hindutva ideology of the BJP.'' Delhi BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga shared the video on Twitter. After this, social media users are criticizing Sukhu and saying that the thinking of a Chief Minister towards the majority of the people of the state is condemnable. Some users are also questioning Congress, why does the party hate Hindus and Hindutva so much? Does Congress ever make such statements against any other religion? Why do its leaders make statements that hurt the faith of Hindus every time?
